His mom is German Shepherd as well. These dogs are the original German Shepherds and their pedigree is also written in German. Here's a photo of his Mom.0 -

I have always LOVED those dogs...and wanted one from a good line, but ended up with "girlie dogs" instead. I did have the pleasure of having a couple German shep. average neighborhood buddies while I was growing up....
