The number one cause of athisism in the world today is christians who confess JESUS with there mouths and walk out the door and deny him by there lifestyles, this is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable(DC Talk)

    Yea, 11 is too young.

13 should be the age of legal consent.

But if you're a young, attractive school teacher and commit the same offense, you skate, write a book and become famous.
The double standard of the "justice" system just became a triple standard.

Simple, before laws and such, a crime could be loosely defined as doing harm to another. A tribe may have had no written law agains murder, but you can bet they wouldn't put up with it.

The majority of the male population here (myself included), would have loved to be the 16 year old with the young attractive school teacher. I know I had a Bio teacher in her mid-late 20's who I would have loved a private "biology lesson" from.

    Granny... ughh... no...

One way of looking at it is, no, there is not 2 sets of standards.
Just one standard, was the minor "harmed" or not? did the adult cause displeasure to the minor?
Using the above standard, many would say no on the attractive young female teacher.
Due to social stigmas (girls that have a lot of sex are called "sl*ts", whereas boys are "players"), an attractive young male teacher and a female minor would be perceived as causing her harm (then theres the whole possibility of underage pregnancy too).

However, thats not the way the law is written, and we are a nation of laws, so what the young female teachers did was wrong..... but not "as wrong", in my opinion.
