My new Idea for a retail store
I would call it American Pride or something on those lines. It would only carry things made here in the U.S.A. What are your thought would it fly or go out. Very thing would cost more but all you be made here.

Sounds like a wonderful idea, but these days you'll be lucky to have more than 2 items to sell. 0 -
The store wouldn`t need to be any bigger than a phone booth because we don`t make anything here anymore. [:(] 0 -
It would be tuff you could not be a one catagory store. You could not carry just tools or just clothing or sporting goods. But you could carry alittle of all of these. 0 -
You'd be out of business in about 3 days. People don't want to pay the money for decent stuff. I've tried, both in a retail store and online.
They SAY they do, but when it comes right down to it, they go "Oh, I'll just get the cheap one right now, and get the better one later"
If you think I'm wrong, just think about this: Wal-mart didn't become the world's biggest retailer by selling stuff made in the USA.

We have several "Made in OryGun" stores scattered around the State, and they do a booming business - year round.

I think it could work. You better spend the time, and crunch the numbers before you try it tho. Do some real research on the types of "every-day" items you could offer. It prob. won't be easy, but if it turns-out lookin like it'l work,, go for it...Best of luck..

Thats right. But I remember the first WalMart I ever visited, there were "Made in USA" signs everywhere. Mr. Walton tried hard to buy American made as much as possible. As soon as he passed away and all the greedy heirs took over it changed. I noticed it right away. Now of course if you find anything not made in China you're lucky. The total sell-out of America is nearly complete, probably worse than most of us know, even those that already know it's shameful already.0 -
It would be fun to see all of the Honda's and Toyota's sitting in the American Pride store's parking lot while their owners shop inside. 0 -

You mean the Hondas made in Ohio and the Toyotas made in Kentucky, Texas and Indiana? And the Hondas that will be made in Indiana starting next year?
Or perhaps you are talking about the GM and Ford vehicles made in Mexico?0 -
My idea would be "Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms".[:p][:D][:o)] 0 -
Maybe if it was, "Made in America - NOT by Union Labor!" it might work. 0 -
