i Used the clay bar on my dads jag, i really found it to be a waste of time, but my buddy who did his vette with it, said it was amazing. When i would detail cars it would probably take me 4-5 hours, the clay bar added about an hour to it, and i found it to be a waste of time.

Maybe, i didnt notice it worked because the paint was good!

I've used a clay bar on both of my vehicles. Turns the paint back to glass. The most amazing product I've ever used for detailing.

This is the kit I used....

It really turns the surface back to glass. I did 1/2 of my hood with it and left the other half. You run your hand across the hood, first on the untreated side, feels like sand in your paint, then the other side feels like running your hand over the window.

You have to wax it afterwards, but it will look absolutely beautiful. We used them at the dealership (one of the largest in the country), on all our used cars.

Really easy to use and does a great job. I highly recommend them.

I'll clay bar my vehicles once a year from now on.

I forgot to add that one is an '06 with 7k miles and the other is an '04 with 25k miles. Even on the '06 I could notice a big difference.

The clay bar system works great. Had some overspray get on my truck, used the bar all over the truck -- now the finish is like glass.

It's a lot of work, especially on a truck -- lots of elbow grease required.

Be very careful with the clay bar; if you drop it on the ground -- it's finished. The dirt from the ground would ruin your finish if you use it after dropping it.

The Meguiars kit is a good one.

Mothers products makes a good one too. Clay works Great on overspray and oxidized/tired paint jobs. Takes some time but really worth it in the end, You will need to wax when completed. And NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use if it FALLS ON THE GROUND. YOU have been warned. Follow diections and keep surface wet.
