A friend of mine entered a raffle at the Isle of Capri casino for a Ford F150 Harley Davidson edition and a Harley Davidson bike that came with it. He got drunk and went back to the hotel and passed out. Sure enough they called his ticket. To this day, he's still pissed about not being there!

Better than a SHARP stick. Donate the guns back to DU and take a tax credit.

Don't think this has anything to do with fair.

Note to self: when doing a gun raffle, giveaway, sale or whatever, include in the rules that winner must legally be able to claim possession of said gun in order to win it.

The story sounds highly unlikely, but then most events are highly unlikely if you look at the big picture. I'd say your client did pretty well if he attended a DU meeting and walked away with $500.

I suppose if he "won" more than $500 worth of guns and whoever was giving them away was shortsighted enough not to include a legal disclaimer in whatever kind of competition it was then maybe it's not so fair. At any rate, I doubt he has a legal leg upon which to stand.

he made out if he didn't have more than $500 into the tickets. And be careful who chum around with. Don't be his next felony fist fight. His fist must have really hurt if he got a felony with them.
