    I wonder how these really big ones cook up. The 150-200lb ones are pretty good. That's a lot of pork.

    It isn't photoshopped, but they posed the kid back from the pig, just like when you take a fish picture, if you hold it in your outstretched arms it looks bigger. The pig was someone's pet that got too big, and was released on a game reserve. I believe his name was Fred.

    The hog is real and so is the photo.

    It was a family pet domestic hog that was fed who cares to guess. It was sold to a hog hunting ranch after being deemed to large for breeding and unsuitable for slaughter.

    Domesticated hogs will turn Feral in just a short time if released into the wild. They will grow tusk, grow the bristled hair and all. Such would have been the case with this hog if it were left alone long enough. If you look at the photo and compare a domestic hog to a wild hog. You would clearly see that it was a farm raised hog.

    "Mr. Blissitt explained to me that he was an avid hunter and fisherman and that he did not see anything wrong with the hunting of the animal and if he did, he would not have sold it to the preserve. I asked him to tell me a little bit about the animal and asked was Mr. Strickland of the Anniston Star accurate in his docile description of the pig. Mr. Blissitt said he had bought all the pigs for his wife. The hogs were her deal, he and his son just took care of them for her. He said all of their pigs had just recently been sold for slaughter and the big boar was too big to be a breeder because of his massive weight and stature and would certainly be unsuitable for slaughter, referring to him being an uncut boar hog..."

    ...."He congratulated Jamison on his hunt and said that somebody had to kill the pig..."
