Ammo Price in Danville WV... lol
First let me tell you that at the local carryout/sports shop that .308 150 grain Federal Power Shok ammo cost $15.99 a box. Well they were out of stock today.
Went on to Danville, WV to help set some steel for a building. While I was their I walked over to Britton's Gun & Pawn. Picked up two boxes of Federal Vital Shok 150 grain ammo and laid them on the counter.
The guy behind the counter had to call someone to get the price.
$25.00 for ONE box of .308 ammo!!!
An overweight guy tried to tell me that was what they had to pay for it..
That did not set right with me at all.
For if the fat guy knew what he had to pay for the ammo. Why in the hell did he not tell the guy behind the counter to start with what it cost?? Instead of the guy having to call someone?
Told him where to shove his ammo and walked out..
I have heard of markups. But that place is to stupid for me to ever go back in it.

Hate to say, but Vital Shok ammo is EXPENSIVE...goes for around $30 to $35 a box here in Texas.
Normal power shock runs about $11 to $15.0 -

The ammo was Power Shok.
I would have hated to see my reaction if I had picked up a box of Vital Shok or worse yet, a box Fusion for a 7mm WSM...lol0
