Size - I believe we're third after China and Russia.
Firepower - we're number one by a long shot.
Training - It's hard to quantify seeing as how training is a bit of a broad topic, but no way we're anywhere outside the top five.
Transport - we're number one with the largest navy and transport air fleet in the world.
Discipline - this is where we might fall off, but only because you have militaries out there willing to shoot unarmed civilians (like China). I do believe American military discipline would break down on that particular issue (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong).0 -

I can't picture our military ranking #12 in any catagory. You might tell your teacher that since US students rank near the bottom of the 30 industrialized nations in math (#23) and sciences (#19) he should get a move on and start educating you! 0 -

Things like this make me want to be a teacher. Problem would be, I'm sure I would be at odds with just about everyone of my co-workers. And I can't imagine that (with my vast political correctness) I would last very long in the job. 0 -
after the 1992 riots in LA i was watching a community meeting with all black people. everyone there was gripein and moaning about how bad the police were. one black guy stepped up and said "if you are tired of racist and corrupt police officer then you should become a cop and be a fair and honest cop"
i have always thought about being a teacher as a way to counter liberal brain washing of our youth.0
