CASE knives (question)

I picked this case knife up today at a yard sale for 25 cents. It is marked SC684-8" PROCESS PAT. NO 2147079 SSP CASE XX
Anyone have any clue when it was made? I have no knowledge when it comes to Case knives. THANKS!

  I'll give ya .50 cents for it. Case's are very good knives, if not the best.

  The numbers that you gave give a totally different knife than the one you are showing.
  
  SC = The knife will have a pair of scissors.
  
  684 = Can not process these numbers for relatively recent Case knives often have three digit factory pattern (handle die) numbers instead of the usual two.
  
  SS = The blades and springs will be stainless steel.
  
  P = The knife will have a punch blade
  
  CASE XX = Means nothing by its self. Now if I were to know the exact lay out letter styling and anything else related to this. The knife could easily be dated.
