Question about the auction side..
This may be in the wrong place to ask such a question. But I am wondering.
The "rules" state.
If an auction has a Starting Bid and no Reserve Price, the high bidder on the item will win the item at auction close. Every auction has a Starting Bid, even if the Starting Bid is $.01.
For an example lets say that an auction has a Starting At price of $100.00 with No Reserve.
Now my question.
Can a person bid less than the starting price and still win the auction or does the bid need to be at least 1 penny over the starting price? In this case $100.01 at closing in order to win?

it won't let you bid lower than the starting bid, whether there's a reserve on it or not. 0 -
Yes, that can be confusing. Many people insist that the starting price is a "reserve" and in a sense that's true but on this auction reserve means "hidden reserve" 0 -
You dont have to bid over the starting bid. If the starting is $100.00, you can bid $100.00 and it will work.
As cce1302 said, you cannot bid less than the starting bid. If you do, the system will reject your bid.0 -
Thanks guys for the information. I had never bid on a No Reserve auction on GB before. 0
