Very fitting. Only wish I could see Blago getting hammered on the national news networks over it.

Our state government has surpassed, joke, stupidity, ludicrous, insane, status. We're way beyond that and I don't know what you'd call it anymore.

It's pitiful when the widow of a state tropper killed on the job isn't receiving her benefits check any longer because the moron wants to play games. Then when she called the governor's office, they were rude to her about it and hung up on her. Read here:

The biggest debacle going on in state history and most people who live here aren't even aware of it.

We moved to Iowa from Illinois in 1967. I am so glad I don't live in that commie state anymore, however I still have alot of relation still residing in that POS state. Shame on the Illinois state goverment for holding up that ladies survivor benefit. She needs that money to support her kids.

I blame Chicago, East St. Louis, and Southern Illinois. All are solid demoncrat strongholds. Heck, in 2004, Bush carried the rest of the state, But Kerry carried East St. Louis, Chicago and the state.

No one worth a damn ran against him. If the above were true than Poshard would have gotten in quite a few years ago and we wouldn't have had the crook Ryan. BTW, I'm a strong Republican but Poshard was from down state. I will never vote for anyone from Chi-town. The state would be better off if we made north of Peoria its own state.

Most people think they are not affected by who the governor is so when election time comes up, people are too lazy to get off their collective a$$es in this state and vote!

Blago- 1.7 million votes 49.8% of total vote (WINNER)
    Topinka- 1.4 million votes

....and there's your election. Sad for a state with a population of around 13 million people. Nobody cares about their gun rights in this state. That's for sure.

After spending time down south, I didn't care for Poshard. Southern Illinois was infatuated with him. I saw him as another two bit politician. Now, I regret he didn't beat Ryan.

Yes it has caused a ton of confusion and problems thoughout the state. Most agencies and schools are waiting for info on how much they will receive. Blago is worthless.

Former Ill-a-noiz person right here. So glad I moved to Oklahoma, have since bought a full auto, one pistol with a built in silencer, and another silencer for my rifle is on the way. SOmething I would have never been able to get my hands on in Illinois.................legally[}:)] Plus when I lived in the Chicago burbs every town has its own little ordinances on firearms so I had to lay low a lot

Born & raised in Berwyn. 30 years there, heard it all, saw it all, then Crook County Assessor values the then new Prudential Building at about 1/5 real value, lots of guesses how much graft he got for that one.

Tribune reveals all this publicly. What happens? The guy was RE-ELECTED!!

That's when I pulled up stakes, and left Crook County, Illinois; my birthplace, my home, my family, my crooked politicians.

Know what? They're the same everywhere!

You know it is the big cities that have a lot of say over everything else. Needs to be split up somthings need to be done by towns. In the bonnies in land of corn and trees we dont need some of the horse dung. Native illinoian here not a turn coat ill stand until there is nothing worth standing for. This state once had a lot of pride but that was back in 1865.

I've said for years that we need to split like the Carolinas, North and South. [:)]

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] I love it, so true!

Amazing how one big city can control the whole politics of a state!

Not a good trend for the rest of the country. Same with NYC, LA, SanFran, Seattle, etc.

I actually voted for Poshard (pro-gun democrat) against Ryan in that election.

SanFran does not control jack s--t, its population is 800K, combined population of bay area is about 10M and not everyone votes democrat or liberal there. But that's a whole different subject, and this is just a side not. [:)]

Bang, loved the sign! [:D] Copied and sent it to a couple of relatives still living back in central Illinois. Hope you don't mind? [;)]

From chrishiher:quote:Native illinoian here not a turn coat ill stand until there is nothing worth standing for.

And how will you even know? [:(!]

Don't even think about jumping down my throat over this, 'cause I've been there and done that. I was born and raised in central Illinois, bought my FOID, and followed all the idiot rules.

Came out to AZ for a visit one spring, and moved out here that summer. That was 26 years ago and I wouldn't move back to IL if you paid me. Been back to visit twice and, each time, I remembered exactly why I left in the first place.

Why don't y'all see if you can find another Mrs. O'Leary and her cow? That might help clean up Cook county, mebbe.

Good luck, y'all will need it.

Big Al (can't even look at firearms without a FOID card! Sheesh, what a idiotic thought-control tactic!)

In St. Louis here and I must say the stench is starting to drift over the river.

Seriously I applaud the efforts by the ISRA but feel that its an uphill battle with little hope of a future victory for gun owners.
