New shooter (maybe)
had a friend in town for another friend's wedding this weekend, and made the mistake of showing him my AK. "We've got to shoot that!!!!!!!!!!!" was his response. So today, we went shooting. He's pro-gun, but not very experienced or knowledgeable about guns. Anyway, he went and got another friend from back in our college days. She's a great girl, very nice, friendly and easy to get along with, but ardently liberal and a Demo supporter, who's never been shooting. We started her off easy (38 spcl., AK, Rem 870 20 gauge, and a Mosin Nagant.) her response? "you guys just might turn me into a gun enthusiast." [:D][:D][:D]

Good job for the team! Would that more folks would take the time to "convert" the non-believers in this way. Sadly, ignorance is one of our greatest enemies.

I've noticed that the only anti-gunners who remain anti-gun are the ones who have never been taken shooting. "I refuse to fire a gun" is the mantra of one of my friends and that's the only way she can possibly maintain her anti-gun stance.
