    I think we are speaking of two different things. Some States, like here in NY, have recently passed a law whereby Gun dealers must send to the State crime Labs a spent cartridge from every handgun they sell. This was not a law back in the 70's, but the forensics art of discovering of what cartridge came from what gun was.

    Hmmm...First they's folks wantin' to teach dancin' lessons...and now Oz wants ta know 'bout forensic evidence...Hmmm...
