My wife has the Springfield XD-9 Subcompact and it is extremely accurate. I have never found a subcompact that fit me well enough to use.

It is not large bore, but my Colt Mustang is great. It is also beyond sub compact. [:D]

When I bought this gun I was searching for a good sub compact as well. After finding that smaller big guns were not really that much smaller I went with the Mustang. I use this gun for pocket carry usually in the summer when wearing shorts and a Tshirt it is hard to hide much else.

I shot a Kimber Pro Carry that was pretty accurate.

My Glock 27 in unnaturally accurate. For a gun that size, with that bad of trigger, it shoots way better than it has any right to.

    1992 Volkswagen Golf GL.

It could hold its lane on the highway, even at speeds approaching 120mph.

My HK P7 is one of the most accurate guns I own. The Sig P232 and Beretta 84 are quite accurate to 25 yards or so. My HK P2000SK puts out some good groups too.

My carry gun, a Star FireStar .40, can hit a man target at 30 feet or more, if the wind is right.

That is pretty much my criteria for carry pistols.

My Glock 26 and 27 are both far more accurate than I ever thought possible. (with the right ammo)

My Sig 232 in 380 will scare the crap out of anyone standing at 25 yards plus. All sigs that I have shot are tight and very accurate. Expensive but they are the Rolex of handguns.

My first Kimber compact 45 acp is a custom and was not that expensive. It shoots almost as well as my Gold Match which cost over 1K and with Hogue grips is a darn impressive defensive pistol. Easy to carry and gives you great confidence.

It's not a big bore, but my little Taurus 941 shoots much better than I do. The only certifiably way accurate auto I have in anything approaching a big bore would be my Taurus 38Super, and if it's past 50'; I might have to shoot twice.

    Kimber Pro CDP .45
    Sig P228 9mm

    Both have had impressive accuracy.

    William81,
What is "the right ammo" that you alluded to in your reply about Glock 26 and 27 accuracy, please???

The subcompact's are way to small for my hands, but if you consider a Beretta 9000s a sub thats my backup weapon.

I don't routinely carry a revolver anymore, but any .38 Spl. or larger S&W I've had will consistently put hits on a silhouette target at 100yds.

It's a matter of figuring out precisely where to align the individual gun's lttle fixed sights and doing your part.

    Belly gun my azz. [;)]

I don't know if it qualifies but my S&W model 37 airweight is very accurate for a snubby.
