Who says you can't go home, again?
I got my first gun in 1968. It was a Remington .22 rifle and I quickly added a Winchester 30-06 and a Savage SxS 12 gauge shotgun. By 1970 I was ready to buy my first handgun.
I decided to start with a 22 pistol and I took a liking to the Stoeger "Luger" that had come out. Not exactly like the P08 I found it cool none the less. I only had it a couple years before growing (I thought) more sophisticated and I sold the Stoeger gun to buy something else. I forget what, now.
I never really pined for that pistol, but when I saw one at the show today it brought back memories and I bought it.
How often can you relive your youth for $215 out the door?

BEAUTIFUL!!! BTW, Are those "home-made" grips? If so, somone did a fair job.[:)]I always loved the "action" on those "Luger" type pistolas.Always hated the name "LUGER", sounds like "snotty spit"[xx(]

Those are the original stocks. I think the first ones had checkered and then they started using these smooth and somewhat clunky ones but maybe I recall incorrectly. 0 -

Nice piece, I had one similar years ago..and wish I still did.
Odd indeed how our tastes can evolve, and the things that can stir
feelings and emotions from days gone by.0 -
Nice!
Makes me curious to see if I can find another 22 like the one my dad had when I was a kid. I'm off to the auction side!0 -
Very nice....I find myself looking at guns I owned in the past. 0 -
I've never sold a gun. I still have my first gun from when I was 10 year old.
Not counting my Red Ryder, Moms broke it across my azz. And I am not telling what for.[:(]0
