Wth is a hunting rifle. A rifle with a wooden stock and not an evil black plastic one? I guess hunting with pistols or shotguns shouldn't be allowed either.

    Idiots.[:(!][V]

Edit: I didn't read the article before posting this. Looks like he feels the same way.

    Here is my response:

quote:Correct Caliber, comfort, accuracy, and legality are all that matters in a rifle whether it is to be used on man, or animal. If you think differently, I suggest you eat prime rib with a spork, and tell me if it tastes different.

If we, as hunters, gun rights activists, and constitutionalists allow ourselves to be divided on these issues, then we will all eventually lose our rights to shoot anything.

There's no hunters here. Contrary to popular belief, this is an anti-gun forum.

So I guess I need to get rid of my Rem. 700 in 7mm Rem Mag. it's got a black synthetic stock. Damnnnnnnnnnnnn it's one of my favorites. Maybe there just some people out there that don't belong writing gun articles or others don't even belong in the woods. The article started out saying,

"They're accurate, they're customizable and they're fun to shoot."

Then the comments section kicked in.

I'd rather see someone in the woods who can shoot accurately and understands ballistics than someone shooting long range, too light a bullet, the wrong bullet, etc.

Too many non-gunners hear the word black gun and don't understand the term, just like assault rifle, automatic weapon, and the like.

When I was a kid, Kleenex was a brand name for tissue. Now, no matter what brand you use, many people call it Kleenex. Yep, make it a generic term and all will think alike. Black = assault = bad = ban. an anti's propaganda for gun control. Fool the public into their way of thinking.

It's easier to be one of the sheeple than to educate youself.

Some of the comments to this article are just plain stupid!

It reminds me of when they passed the law to have an early muzzleloader season in PA while I was living there. It was open to any type of muzzleloader. The pissing and moaning started immediately. Most of the loudest and worst of it came from guys who would dust off their flintlocks the day before the season started, load them up and head to the woods. They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with them. I saw more wounded deer in my 4 years in PA then I have ever seen before or since.

The key to good hunting is shot placement. The key to good shot placement is practice. The key to practice is doing lots of it. Doing it is a lot easier when you have a rifle that is pleasant to shoot and is just downright fun. The AR variants fit this bill nicely. I personally believe that most of these guys who vilify the "black rifle" for hunting would probably do better with it than the rifle that they normally carry into the woods.
