Nope. I had a moron that didn't read the description bid on a barrel only thinking it was the entire gun. I requested his bid be retracted before the auction ended and GB obliged.

Same here. Had a guy bid early, then email me giving me 20 reasons why he couldn't pay for the gun. Emailed GB and asked for the bid to be retracted. They did. Better to just have it gone early than screw up the auction and have to do it over.

Have used this service several times after the bidder gets cold feet. Rather before than after the item closes.

how does a bid retraction work. when a bid gets retracted does the next in line become highest bidder. that's what happened to me else were were i was sent a email saying i was outbid so i went and bid on another gun and then two days later got a email saying i was now the high bidder again because of a bid retraction. i closed my account at this place because i refused to pay for a auction i was out bid on. bid retraction should not be aloud if there is more then one bidder

Makes a guy want to save those "you have been outbid" emails, don't it?

That was the only problem I had with doing it the one time I had to. I had more than one bidder and GB doesn't have a way to contact any of the bidders before the auction closes. I've been in the same boat, bidding on a gun, get outbid, then move on to another.

My next inline bidder won and followed through like nothing ever happened, but I wouldn't have held him to it if he didn't want it, and would have left pos. feedback as well.

...Live and learn. My very first online auction, I accidently bid $150 rather than $15. My fault, new to the system, didn't pay attention. Emailed the seller and and was told "tough beans, take it up with GB." Not knowing the system, I paid up for the junker rifle, got and gave good feedback.

    Select,
I don't know if its new, but the bidder whose bid was retracted is no dead beat. Look at his previous buys. I counted at least 6 Pythons, 2 Anacondas and 1 HK before I gave up. He has 100% feedback. Must be a Python collector.

I believe he questioned the seller about the 3" barrel issue and decided the seller may have misrepresented the item.

Note the bid was retracted on 4-2. The next day the seller added info to his auction.
