Florida Turkey Hunting
Any one have any idea where i can hunt turkeys? Im in Pinellas Park, FL. Im near tampa bay, on the little peninsula on the left side in the middle of florida. Ive never hunted a day in my life, and its not even to say i am for sure going to hunt turkeys anytime soon, i just figure if i hunted anything i would absouletly eat it, and ive had deer meat, and i didnt find it that great, but i LOVE turkey! I could eat a whole lot of turkey. So can anyone help me out?

Wild turkey is good if you prepare it right. Most people that I know down here in the south deep fry theirs. Deep fried turkey is awesome!
As for hunting opprotunities, you can hunt Eastern turkeys by heading north on I-75 to the Gainsville, Lake City area. You can hunt Oceolas (sp?) by heading southeast out of Tampa towards the center of the state. Check out Florida's DNR website for more info.
Edit: If you are truly interested in turkey hunting, I would be happy to offer you the chance to hunt with me this coming spring. I live up near Atlanta (about a 7 hour drive).0
