1919A4 Dummy
I have created a 1919A4HB Dummy from pictures and a blurry scan of a sideplate drawing found on the internet. Please note that while I currently offer a kit, my aim in posting here is to get input from informed people. I know I have more details to get right, but how am I doing so far?

In order:
A real one weighs 30 pounds, starts at $499 in hacked bits, requires an FFL, a machinist, and an understanding spouse. Just so many other toys I could buy with the $1025 in the listing. Which is not to say that I don't really, really, want one (Their site is intoxicating).
Legal, yes, fun, yes. But semi-auto fire only, no cheating. Which brings us to AirSoft.
After getting bored with RC cars (I'm a very spoiled man), I discovered 6mm plastic. So much fun! A whole new world of tinkering. Stock guns are fun, but with a few well-chosen upgrades, wow. California-legal full-auto fire. Well, I had run thru all internal upgrades, and decided to do the outside up. Looking around, I was suprised to see no 1919's in the Airsoft world (Chalk it up to the CQB curently employed. As a kid in the 70's, we were into jungle combat, and long skinny M16's).
It makes a great Airgun. The spade grips changed everything. Suddenly everybody wants to try. The demo gun at SinisterSports in Citrus Heights had its trigger lever about worn out by customers going "ratatatat" under their breath (the gun did not actually operate). Full auto on a pintle/swivel pretty much negates the need for sights, just pretend you're holding a garden hose.
The best testimony so far was watching a very anti-AirSoft NRA lobbyist gleefully peppering his own new Ford F350 with a similar number of pellets at an estimated 480fps. It looks like door dings everywhere, and he was loving it. He didn't buy a gun, but I took his price inquiry as a compliment.
Glue. The materials used are ABS and PVC plastics. Oatey makes glues for ABS (#31802) and a "transition" cement for both types to each other (#30821). After four or five minutes, parts can be handled. After four or five days, a hammer will be need to separate them, and not without damage. Pretty strong stuff. Imagine trying to separate glued ABS pipe sections. I have stood on my guns many times to demonstrate their durability. I weight 175lbs and can stand on one foot on top of the housing. It isn't going anywhere. At only six pounds, they have a very high strength-to-weight ratio. A temperature of 280 degree F. is needed to distort these materials, so they should survive weathering well.
I think 1919a4 is where that blurry scan was found. A place my boss finds me playing too much...0
