A thread had gone south and Nunn locked it about big game hunting in Africa. A lot of people think that BG hunters just collect the trophy and leave the carcass to rot. Not true. Most African hunts supply food for the tiny villages along with money. When an Elephant is killed the tribe has food for several months. They also have money for doctors, education, wells for water. And as with several animals here in the US they need to be culled.

Not getting a chance to post on the Elephant post due to a lock for name calling so I decided to start this post. The people of the villages go to bed hungry many nights unless there has been a successful hunt. The meat from all these "Trophies" fead many hungry children. I have never seen a animal that was worth the life of a human.
Elephants are culled for many reasons. Sure a "Trophy" is a side benefit but many times a rouge bull will have to be put down for safety reasons. Grass huts are no match to an Elephant. They cull the Elephants as we have to cull deer around populated areas.0 -
