Update on Rusty

Many of you will remember my neighbor's son Rusty. He became a good friend and a great kid, and has been attending school at the University of Alabama.

He has been home for the summer helping his mom and relaxing. He has really been a big help to her, and she has really missed him.

We have had several chances to talk, and he is growing into a pretty well defined young man. He has a girlfriend that is a year ahead of him, and they plan to marry after he graduates. Well see.

He also has decided that he wants to use his degree in Civil Engineering to go into the Navy as part of the CB's. Again, well see.

I told him plans are good, but when it's a long range plan that pertains to "after graduation", don't just follow the plan because you made it several years earlier. Be sure before you act on it, you review where you are at gradation, and explore any new options that may have come your way.

I'm proud of the boy man!
