Those guys are in REAL trouble!!!

    1. No environmental impact study

    2. No OSHA placards ("caution, slinkey in motion", "warning, ball may move", etc.)

    3. No safety guards in place

    4. No fire extinguishers

    5. No operation and safety manual

    6. No hearing protection available

    7. No eye protection available

    8. Ne eye wash station

And on, and on, and on[:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]

I have worked with a lot of engineers on a number of projects. My experience has been if you are working with an engineer, you are screwed.

    Rube Goldberg is right!

This is the one that I think will be the very best for a long time:

I went to the funeral of my uncle a Chemical Engineer for Bechtel and the old boy Bechtel who ran the firm asked me what type of an Engineer I was and I stated Locomotive. Thats a fun job I always wanted, but my father said no.

Thats not bad for opening the blinds, but you should see how I flush the toilet in my bathroom [;)]!

Most of the quirks associated with engineers are pretty much spot on the money (me being the exception of course) and one of my least favorite activities would be attending an engineering seminar of any kind [V].

You were probably using an off-the-shelf slinky, not one that had been retrofit by an engineer with all of the latest approved ECO's (Engineering Change Orders) incorporated.[:D]
