Real Auctions
Like alot of users I'm a browser. I love to look for interesting guns being sold on REAL AUCTIONS. The problem is, there are more and more new guns being listed at high retail prices. Now when I want to check the site I have to crawl through hundreds of auto listings to see the "good stuff". It's like going to a gun show were there is nothing but the "BIG BOYS" with hundreds of new guns. Makes for a boring show and makes GB boring too. Is there anyway around this problem? I've tried "smart search" but it only lets you look at one type of gun , not good for browsing. Don't get me wrong , I LOVE MY GB, I just want it to stay interesting and fun.

I think the guns/ammo/magazines section needs to be redone so that there is a fixed list of calibers to choose from. Would make searching for something in a particular caliber really easy... for a hint, try searching for a bolt action rifle in 22 magnum. Can't search for "22 mag" since you'll get 300 magnums with 22 inch barrels, etc... 0 -
In my opinion the single line search function is too rudimentary and needs to be enhanced to allow nested searches that contain multiple or's and and's as well as include and exclude criteria. For example: Win* (saddle, src, carb*) (92,1892,94,1894) -comm*.
Basically the search would return all auctions containing all derivatives of words beginning with "Win" + ("saddle" or "src" or all derivatives of words beginning with "carb") + ("92" or "1892" or "94" or "1894") - all derivatives of words beginning with "comm")
Essentially that search would find all listings of Winchester 1892 and 1894 carbines that weren't listed as commemoratives. Currently, you would have to set up 12 different searches to accomplish the same thing!0
