I really really like his old stuff. Some great songs.
You should read his book Gold Buckle Dreamsit tells his life story in rodeo and song. A very good book.
Not many know he won the NFR in 1976 for saddle broncs.0 -
Chris gets me through just about every day at work. My fishin buddy introduced me to his music shortly before his passing. Lost a great one way before his time. 0 -
Love him. He was one of the reasons that I started listening to country music. 0 -
I have listened to him everyday for along time. Here in Wyoming the radio station has Chris Le-tuesdays with back to back ledoux played through out the day 0 -
Got 23 of his cd's myself.Hope Peggy and the kids are doing ok.Anyone know if he's buried in Kaycee? Like to pay regards when out that way next year. 0 -
I had a couple of friends that introduced me to the music of Chris Ledoux. I swear, every time we went anywhere they were playing Horsepower or Copenhagen. Thanks guys 0 -
I knew Chris through some of my friends who have been rideing Rodeo for a long time.
Even after he retired from rideing he went to many rodeo's. He allways attended the Reno Rodeo and the National finals every year.
He was a very down to earth person who had never let his fame go to his head. He would allway be willing to sit down and chat with you expecially if you were talking anything rodeo.
When he won the NFR he was considered a huge long shot to win that year as there were many others that were considered the top in the saddle bronc competition that year. But all the cards just happened to fall into place for him that year and he won the buckle.
The rodeo comunities and country music lost a great person when cancer took him from us.0 -
Chris Ledoux Is GREAT!!! 0 -
Undeniably one of the best and most prolific recording artists of our time. He was a fine story teller.
But even that pales in comparison to his live shows. He just Burned That Mutha DOWN!
So, yeah.
I'm a fan.0 -

You are right it was bareback!0 -
His best album was "Powder River." He was known in this region as a trustworthy man and a good stockman. I used to live in Sheridan and Johnson counties (WY), and discovered Chris' music then. The Nashville stuff he did later was garbage, but better than the other garbage that town puts out today. The town of Kaycee WY was, and is, real proud of him.
Met him in Jackson in '92. Nice guy. Friendly as heck.0
