Okay, I agree that we engineers can, at times, appear a little unusual. So, just to prove that we are normal everyday ordinary people just like the rest of the folks here on this forum I've included my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. Please feel free to make a copy for your wife, life partner, significant other, etc. and ask them to make a batch for you. Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!!
Ingredients:
1) 532.35 cm3 gluten
2) 4.9 cm3 NaHCO3
3) 4.9 cm3 refined halite
4) 236.6 cm3 partially hydrogenated tallow triglyceride
5) 177.45 cm3 crystalline C12H22O11
6) 177.45 cm3 unrefined C12H22O11
7) 4.9 cm3 methyl ether of protocatechuic aldehyde
8) Two calcium carbonate-encapsulated avian albumen-coated protein
9) 473.2 cm3 theobroma cacao
10) 236.6 cm3 de-encapsulated legume meats (sieve size #10)
To a 2-L jacketed round reactor vessel (reactor #1) with an overall heat transfer coefficient of about 100 Btu/F-ft2-hr, add ingredients one, two and three with constant agitation. In a second 2L reactor vessel with a radial flow impeller operating at 100 rpm, add ingredients four, five, six, and seven until the mixture is homogenous.
To reactor #2, add ingredient eight, followed by three equal volumes of the homogenous mixture in reactor #1. Additionally, add ingredient nine and ten slowly, with constant agitation. Care must be taken at this point in the reaction to control any temperature rise that may be the result of an exothermic reaction.
Using a screw extrude attached to a #4 nodulizer, place the mixture piece-meal on a 316SS sheet (300 x 600 mm). Heat in a 460K oven for a period of time that is in agreement with Frank & Johnston's first order rate expression (see JACOS, 21, 55), or until golden brown. Once the reaction is complete, place the sheet on a 25C heat-transfer table, allowing the product to come to equilibrium.

Heating to 460 Kelvin is classic engineer jargon (that is about 368F for the non geeks out there). I suggest that the cookies be quenched after leaving the oven in a water based fatty emulssion, which also contains calcuim, glucose and glactose. Laymen call this cows milk!
What was your engineering field Old-Colt? I began as petroleum engineer, got laid off from Union Oil in the early 80's and made a switch to structural engineering. Now a days I spend all of my time working on contracts and attending meetings [V].0 -

Why is my memory telling me that 0^K = -460^F (-273^C)????? So "heating" to 460 K would require that I bake the cookies in my freezer, or is this another case of engineering at it's finest?
Not a engineer, just a knuckle dragging technician that's worked with/on equipment that operates at temps ranging from 15^K to 1200^C

Hi Tailgunner1954, us old retired engineers can't always trust our memories, so I broke out the slide rule to verify the calculation. If I remember correctly, and I certainly can be wrong, the Kelvin scale is measured in degrees Celsius from absolute zero (-273.15 degrees Celsius). Therefore, by converting Kelvin to Fahrenheit using the formula ((460K-273.15C)*(9/5C))+32=368.33F. Now, I could be wrong since my memory has somewhat faded and my slide rule is a little warped.[:D]

Per Machinery's handbook # 27 pp 2583:
To convert Kelvin to Fahrenheit tF = 1.8tK-459.67
To convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin tK = (tF+459.67)/1.8
Delta 1K = delta 1C = Delta 1.8F
32^F = 0^C = 273^K

So, once again I took out my old Dietzgen Maniphase Multiplex Decimal Trig Type Log Log Slide Rule [:0] and I'm glad to see the conversion you found comes up with my original number:[:)]
