I'm a Cherokee man myself. But my grandaughter wants a
Wrangler for when she gets her drivers liscense next year. Looking myself for a mid 90's Wrangler w/ the bulletproof 4.0 and automatic.
They seem to be hard to find around here, in any config. at any price. Nearby dealer says that when someone trades one in, it's gobbled up right away.0 -
LOKO-

In a 97-2000 model? Good luck! Mine is a 2000 and I turned over 100,000 a couple of weeks ago. But sorry...I don't want to sell it. Son has claimed it as his! I will look down here and see what I can find. You didn't say Wrangler or Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. Which one??0 -
100,000 miles on a jeep isnt bad.
I love jeeps, we too, are kind of looking for a grand cherokee laredo.0 -

I know I have posted this before but, find a totaled jeep wrangler and fix it. Got this one for 5k and $1600 to fix it. Wrangler parts are cheap, and so what if its a salvage title. 2001 with 30k miles.

My wife has one of those, almost identical. Has Honda engine. A little short on power (ours weights 4100 lbs.) Ours has 105k and never had any trouble. Make sure the timing belt has been changed, or plan on changing it right away. We would not take anywhere near that for ours.0 -
I havent been able to find anything.
All 5spd's are over 100k miles
automatics are 80-90k, and most all are lifted, haha0 -

Jake..yea I know I've looked from ALABAMA TO MICHIGAN..LOL..they do hold their value..I won't give up that easy..goin to look at the Acura first though..then a 97 jeep tj wrangler 6cyl. 5sp..asking 5800.00 w/61.000 on it..[sport] blk/grey soft top..no link..its here in our paper..might be the one..Loko [:D]0 -
Not great. About 26-28 mpg, but we live in hilly country. Out on the interstate it does pretty good. I think the engine is a little small for the weight of the car. It is a very comfortable car and handles like a sports car. Great stereo. 0 -
This one looks clean and well taken care of..we will see..haven't heard from the owner as of yet...being an automatic..the wife could use it for a backup car..they are one safe vehicle anyway..[8D]..Loko 0
