Truck Gun: Rifle, Shotgun or Handgun?
Just wanted some thoughts on preferred "truck guns"
Rifle, Shotgun, or handgun? Why?
Personally, I'd lean towards a handgun, specifically a CCW weapon. I'm leary of leaving any gun in a vehicle unless I absolutely have to, on school property for example.
I know some like to have a shotgun or carbine handy and I'm curious as to why

...Im a CHL traitor in Texas, I carry a .45 on me, and a 12g in the truck too...The ONLY two reasons not to have a CHL here is you are either a felon, or cheese azz cheap skate...[;)]

When I lived in rural NM, I kept a M94 30-30 in the back seat of my PU for vermin (mostly 4-legged) that was beyond the range of the S&W 357 that was under the seat. 0 -

I have a nickle 45 colt SAA in the center console with a 4 3/4 barrel because that fits. 45 for one shot stops - i don't want a gun fight. nickle so it won't rust. SAA so it won't jam. Pistol because it fits in the console and is leagal in AZ to have it there. 0 -
It needs to be a handgun here in Alabama. I want one that is loaded and the state hunting laws prevent you from carrying a loaded rifle or shotgun. 0 -
I carry a Mosin-Nagant M44 around in my Jeep and transfer it to the truck when I drive that. 0 -
