Went to my little Bro's Commissioning...UPDATE
My little brothers are both graduating college today and one of them is being commissioned in the US Navy. He is graduating top of his class and will be headed for Navy Flight School in FL. His goal is to fly fighter jets. The other one is going on to get his masters degree.
UPDATE: Well the one that's headed to flight school with the Navy was Summa Cum Laude and the other brother graduated Cum Laude and possibly/quite probably Magna Cum Lade after these last few exams this week. He won't know until the end of the week. They had Marine 4 Star General (in command of the entire Pacific fleet) at the commissioning ceremony.
Both of my little brothers done good...made me proud to be their brother[8D]

He will have fun getting slung off a flat top especially at night ! [:D] 0 -
Thats cool ECC. One of the things I would take back is not doing ROTC.
One of my best buds gets commissioned next week for the AF, he is a meteorologist. Another one of my buds gets commissioned in May to become a navigator. I wish I wasn't so damn far away (2200 miles) I would love to see the ceremony and be there for it.
Who did your brother find to do his speech?0 -

Heck the take-offs are easy. It is the landing part that sucks. Slamming down on a football field that is moving at 20 knots in the forward direction and 20 feet up and down while holding the throttle wide open in case you miss the wire.[:D]0 -
That's really great! You must be proud of them. Where at in Florida? 0 -
Congratulations to them both and to the rest of your proud family, Eric.[:D] 0 -

Doug...I did not have a lot of input...I left home when they were still toddlers...had more of a long distance relationship than anything else...I remember coming back from Desert Shield/Storm and visiting their elementary school classes...ever since then, it has been a long distance relationship...conversations over the phone. The boys have grown up into strong young men...and good men they are.0 -
