What is the purpose of having a post identified as No Reserve when it already has a reserve.

The seller is correct - there is no reserve. He simply started the auction at the minimum amount he would accept. I like auctions like that but look at the current bid - over $5,000! [:0] Am I missing something here or is this an extremely rare revolver?0 -
I think the originator of this thread has "No Reserve" and "No Minimum" Mixed up.
Every online auction has a starting price even if it is only .01
The terminology is no different for .01 or 500.00 No reserve start price.
The auction link Henry provided would have made no difference if the seller started at .01 or 500.00 or 1.00, it is just a starting point for the auction.0 -

It depends on how you look at it. By starting an auction at 500.00 the seller "reserves" the right to not sell the item for less than 500.00.0 -

All that aside,i guess money really doesn't mean schitt to me when it comes to something my grandfather or great-grandfather handed down to me, this seller will regret this decision after the money is gone [V]0
