Is Bush now trying to upset South America too?
I just don't understand what's going on with our current president?! Is he trying to destroy our fine country by sticking our noses into every country's business? I just watched a very upset group of students in Bogata Columbia protesting his presence there. Carrying signs saying "yankee go home" and burning numerous American flags. They hate our president and I'm beginning to also. Can't the Bush administration focus on solving problems here in our own country? At the rate things are going, we're going to be at war with North Korea (again) and Iran. If we are spread any thinner, we will be wide open for an attack on our own soil! The world is beginning to feel like we (the US) are the real terrorists and I have a hard time making an argument against that. I believe it's time we declare a victory in Iraq and bring our service men and women home. Let Iraq solve it's own problems and lets start taking care of our own here in the US!

HobbyGuy - you saw hundreds of students protesting on the news...however, you didnt see the millions of countrymen who support america and bush. the liberal media today showcases EVERY person and group in the world who protests bush but i seem to recall RIOTS whenever clinton would travel abroad to tout the WTO or anything else american. i hope you arent suggesting that since a bunch of columbian peasants were paid by communists groups to protest that Bush is a bad person and America is wrong.

The President of the United States is responsible for many things. We live in a smaller world everyday and America is tied together with every country more so than ever. Bush has many important responsibilities to attend to in South America. # 1 - Economies. # 2 - War on Terror and Drugs.
Just yesterday I was looking at swimwear with my girlfriend and she bought a bikini made in Brazil. America imports many many things from South America and vice versa.
Bush was INVITED to south america and I really dont think he was sticky his nose in their business. America HAS to be involved with all of those countries.
Also, Bush attends to domestic and foreign matters. Thats his job. He does both.
And yes there were protesters in Columbia. There are protesters in America too.0 -
