Christensen Arms company..????
I recently purchased a Rem BDL .308..with one purpose in mind..having this company build me a custom .308 with the action..and use their carbon barrel..and a timney trigger..accurizing the action and placing it in a tan H&S Precision stock I purchased also..[new take off]..I want to add a H&S PREC. floorplate and 10 round det. mag to it..midway has them...what barrel length should I get..18..22..24..26..I'm leaning towards a 22" w/a muzzle brake..this gun will be used for hunting as well as paper punching..anyone have any experince with this company and their services?..[hoping I don't have to mortgage the house to build it]..I know I could have bought this gun or that gun and blah blah blah..but.......I have always wanted to do this and you only live once folks...I have sold a couple other guns to help pay for my venture...so any experince with Christensen Arms??..thanks............Loko [:D]

I have only seen one. Never handled it or saw it shoot. It was a great looking rifle.
If you are worried about cost, then skip the muzzle break and go with the 24 inch barrel. It should take a couple hundred off the price. You really shouldn't need a muzzle break for a .308. Once you put a scope on the rifle, and with the stock you should have enough weight to soak up most of the recoil. There are guys that shoot a .308 pistol for Pete's sake. your right it would save app 200.00..but I like to see my shots hit on paper and a break has helped my other .308s let me accomplish this..so....no really I'm a sissy..lol..this VSSF Rem .308 is loud but has the recoil of a .223..which is next to nothing..[:p]..I don't feel recoil anyway..[}:)]..Loko
