Sadness for the family
I am not much of a religous man but I do talk with god alot and i always give a good prayer for all of you. I may not go to church every sunday but I am a good man. I am asking you guys to help me out with a family freind the needs a good prayer. It is one of my parents best freinds. In the last few week he found out that he has bone marrow cancer. They went out to the Mayo clinic and just found out yesterday that he also a Lukimia (SP) It is in stage 6 out of 7. and things don't look to good. I talk to my parents to day and they said the man is beside himself crying. He told them it is not that death scares him he just wish he could have more time with his family. He is a good guy and only 61. They are going to start to treat him over the next 2 months and if that doesn't work he has 30-60 days. And if does work he gets a bone marrow transplant the only 30% live through
Thanks in advance for you thoughts.

Ofcourse i pray. My mothers father got something simular like that, and i agree ! to die is not the scary part. It's if you have to suffer that's the horror part. 0 -
Done, I have seen it in the lives of many patients. Some more severe then others. I have always hated to give the bad news to them. 0 -
He needs to make peace with himself, and family, at this point,.......but there are miracles, and I will pray for him, and his family.[:(]
Remember,...........each day can be your last. Live it that way, and there will be few regrets.
I hope for a miracle for him.0 -

+1 on everything above. It's not the dying part that's making him cry. Usually dying doesn't hurt very bad for very long. It's the regrets and the burden on those left behind that we fear.0 -
800, you have my prayers. For the record, if you "talk with God a lot" then you are in fact a religious man. And a praying one. Your next assignment is to learn how to listen for His reply.
Caution: Our goal in life is not to live forever, at least not in this life. It is to figure out how to live forever in the next one. A medical miracle for this young man would be nice, but temporary, 'cause nobody's gettin' out of this alive. Far better for him and his entire family to know where they're headed.
I'll be praying for this young boy, and for you, but mostly for everyone in his family to have the peace and strength to get through this. Miracles to happen, but if we expect them every time then we have reduced God to a captive genii in a bottle. God bless, Buddy. Let us know how the kid does.0
