    It could be a good deal, but you didn't say what scope make it had on it. If it had a tasco or bushnell it would be a good price but a leupold or schmidt bender would be a very good deal.

    Same scope as listed, like I said, pretty much identical, I'll post more info tomorrow. I am paying $375 for the whole setup.

    That was a $400 package gun bought from a box store probably. I have had two of the Super Shadows, neither one was very good in the accuracy department. I would stay away from it if I were you.

    Savages makes rifles in 300WSM. I would look at them instead.

    Who cares if it's a rifle that was sold by Wal-Mart or any other package rifle store?

    It was still built by Winchester.

    You can't even buy just an action today for $375.00 let alone the whole rifle, scope, rings and base.

    Who cares if it's not as accurate as some rifles are today but you won't know until you shoot it! If it's not up to your expectations, take the barrel off and sell it. Take the scope off and sell it, too. It's not worth much for accuracy anyway. If the base and rings are good, hang onto them and re-use them. If not, sell 'em. Sell the stock too, it's an O.K. stock but not great.

    Now, you just got yourself a Winchester action for the bargain price of $375.00 minus whatever you got for the other takeoff parts. That's a pretty great deal!

    Even if you're not ready to have a rifle built to your specifications, you can afford to hang onto the action for what you paid for it until you are ready.

    These actions make terrific 'custom' rifles so long as the gunsmith and the new parts are up to it. It's a bargain when you part it out and use the action for a great rifle.

    The Super Shadow's came with a bottom of the barrel Simmons 3x9x40 scope.

    $375 with 100 rounds through it?

    Not when I could get one LNIB for $450.

    I never did go for plastic guns. And would hold out for a good Featherweight Classic even with the higher price tag.

    2. It's a Hunting rifle.

    3. It would make a nice peice to round out anyone's collection.

    If you want an out of the box shooter, get a Savage or Remington 700
