A bored mind is a terrible thing to waste, so having some free time to kill, I finally put together a fact sheet on the true production ratios and DOMs for the Winchester Model 1894. As many of you will undoubtedly note, the figures I have below vary significantly from the numbers published by George Madis in his tomes "The Winchester Book" and "The Winchester Handbook". All of my figures were derived from a detailed survey (conducted by the Cody Firearms Museum) of the first 353,999 serial number records. Unfortunately, all of the remaining pre-64 factory warehouse records were lost in a fire in the early 1960s, and undoubtedly many of the ratios would change drastically if the records were available for serials 1 - 2,600,011. The Polishing Room records (which contain nothing more than just the serial number) survive up to serial 1,343,183 which was in the year 1942. For those of you who collect the Model 1894, this should be very useful information, and I highly encourage everyone to save a copy of it.Production ratios for the first 353,999 Model 1894s made:4:5 (78.19%) were Rifles (276,780)1:5 (21.20%) were Saddle Ring Carbines (75,075)1:2 (45.92%) was a 30 W.C.F. The Polishing Room records end at number 1,343,183, which is listed as the last Model 94 serial number recorded in 1942 (sorry, I don't have the exact date). I am still alive, not really kickin, but still amongest the livin.
Friday they did a procedure, then Monday morning the put me under to put a tube from kidney to bladder, I really have been thru some pain in my day, but let me tell you, I think everyone in the hospital heard me, they put Dilaudid in the IV, I already had me fyentanl patch, but I will tell you, I am not ashamed to tell you I was crying, begging for them to give me something, they tried morphine, I was still hurting bad, then they tried oximorphine, I was pretty scared and wishing they could stop the pain, they put a bottle of TYLENOL IV. if, I don't know if it was all the drugs, or the last, from the time it started, till I was put to sleep my blood pressure was from the top to the bottom. After I was about to leave post op, I was told it was a bladder spasm. When I was in so much pain, the nurse came over, they were doing the rebound check, put in then release quick, I damn near left the gurny, to hear them talking, they were prepping a OR, they thought I was bleeding. I am stuck in the bed, moving slower than a snail, to have my back pain driving me crazy, but to go thru this, it was a hell of a lot worse than kidney stones, but I still have the stones for now, they a going to try to get them on the 21.0 -

I have been really busy at the house, Marble and tile is laid, pained every room, changed the outlets, replaced trim and shoe, and installed washer and dryer. hows everyone been? I been missing anything good?
been a while since i was last on and figured i'd stop in and say hello. I've been busier then hell the last 6 months and finally getting some time off to relax a bit. haven't even been able to go out fishing at all this year.
