Ruger KP345?
Does anyone here own one of these .45's or have you shot one much? I waited to make sure they had the bugs smoothed out in them before I bought mine. Ive shot about every kind of Hollowpoints on the market through mine with out any problems at all. IMHO its far from being the work horse the P-90 is.Its been very pleasing to me in every way except I would like to see a Double stack Mag. So whats your experience/opinion of the Ruger KP345?

Nighthawk,i dont own one,but didnt they go with the single stack to make the grip narrower than the double,i have small hands short fingers so i didnt like the old model w/wider grip didnt fit me but that said i have not held the new md the kp345 is the newest right 0 -
I own one and am very happy with it. Ive had it a little over a year and my only complaint was that there was not many options for holsters out there that fit it properly (im a lefty also).
I really like the sights, but i feel that the loaded chamber indicator atop the slide could be done away with. It has no practical purpose for me whatsoever.
As for a holster, I had one made from BrigadeGunLeather.com They do great work.

They probably went to the single stack to limit magazine capacity. This has been ruger's anti-gunner policy for years.

I have had mine for several months now and think it is a really good 45. I love the grip so much that I bought this pistol over a 1911 springfield. I compared the price (springfield higher), feel sights and also a old timer at the gun store that owns just about everything there told me that his p345 was rock solid and he was very impressed with it. You wont be sorry. As for the the loaded chamber indicator I never even notice mine. so it definitly is not a issue for me. I have probally ran about 250 rds through it and have not had any kind of trouble. 0
