Fireplace paint .....Question
I just painted my wood stove with engine paint. Paint can says its rated to 500 degrees. Just read the stove manual and it said to use 1200 degree paint. What will hppen to the paint I just put on it when it goes over 500 degrees??

It will vaporize. Go the the hardware store (Not Lowes or Home Depot) and ask for stove black. Most of the old mom and pop hardware stores carry it. 0
