In another thread you stated the company you work at grinds 150,000+ bushels of corn per day every day. That amounts to 54,750,000 bushels. I realize there are other plants grinding just like the one you work at. But the amount your plant grinds in one year only amounts to .58 bushels per acre of the acres planted in the U.S. which is 94,000,000 acres.

Good luck to your team tonight. This has been the best world series I have ever witnessed. I am rooting for the cubs, all the way. Almost gave up when they were down, 3 to 1 in the series. They now have the momentum to win it all tonight. I will miss it as i am heading off to bed. The pain killers are kicking in and and my hand is numb. Hope you enjoy it. I will check the box score in the morning or wake up when i here you yelling all the way in NJ[:D] God Bless and go CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oakie

No. I didn't see your post.

Embarrased? Every Cub fan has been embarrased.

These children they call ball players need to grow up. Zambrano's antics were chalked up to him being young at the start. He needs to grow up and start playing major league ball on an adult level. Guys like Maddux, Smoltz, Mussina, Glavine, etc, don't act like children, neither should this guy. He's got the stuff to win the Cy Young but he just can't harness it.

I like Barrett, he's the team hothead. He sticks up for the team, smacking Pierzinski was awesome, he argues with the umps and really runs the show.

Lou is just being good ol Lou. I think the Cubs needed him, this season will be used for getting used to his ways. I don't know how long Lou is going to be suspended. It might just be what they needed.

THe young pitchers are picking up speed. Marshall had 2 fine outings. Guzman is slowly improving. Hill is there.

The run production is there. The relief pitching is is weak, but the ERA is respectable. This team should be winning more games based on individual statistics. Unfortunately, you might say they are not playing as a team.

Lou's blow up was great! Trammel did a find job without Lou.

Rich is becoming one of my favorite players. He's so professional. Marshall had a couple good starts, but just like last year. He started the season well and then lost it.

Relief pitching is where we hurt the most. Dempster is a decent closer, but doesn't get enough chances to show his stuff. Howry will be a great set-up guy, but in time.

Scott Erye, Neal Cotts, and Michael Wurtz all have what it takes, but just can't come through.

Wasn's there a minor leaguer named O'Mally, our something Irish, that had a couple of awesome starts last year, but was injuered and had to be shutdown early. Haven't heard anything about him this year.

Ryan O'Malley, pitched a complete game Shutout on his debut. Yup, he was injured and I haven't heard anything since.

    Edit:
Sorry, he pitched 8 shutout innings, giving up 5 hits, in his debut.

I hope if the Cubs get rid of Zambrano, the Braves get him. They need some of his fire. He hates to lose and it shows. I don't condone what he did, but he is one of my favorite players, and I've been a Braves fan since TBS got started. The Cubs will probably let him go, and he'll come back and kill 'em. (from the mound, not in the dugout.)
