Ever take your Johnson out ?
Planning on picking up a 1941 Johnson automatic over the next few months, and was just wondering if anyone here has one that they shoot. What do you like about it, or not like about it ?
If I get one of the Mil-Tech refinished rifles, it will definitely be a shooter. If I pick up an all original, un-messed with rifle, I'll have to think about it.

Had my Johnson out earlier this week. First time in awhile. Almost forgot what it looked like. Not as big as I remember. Iver Johnson that is. .32 caliber double action. 0 -
There's one I've never shot!
.... maybe, someday!

Its one of those guns that really just needs to be looked at. Its one of the guns my grandpa had, hopefully it will be mine when the time comes and the money is available. I would have a real problem shooting a $4000 gun that kicks like a mule. 0 -
I had one back in the eighties that I shot often. Mine had a bipod on it so it didn't kick too bad (At least, I don't remember it kicking). I never had anything break on it either. It was a ex-Marine rifle and had an original bayo and scabbard too. 0 -
Came real close to buying one, but didn't know enough about them then to know if I was getting a good deal. 0 -

Its really not so much it kicks, it does, but it just seems like it does. I didn't care for shooting it and I don't remember it ever being out of the display case except now and when we shot it. Man do I miss that and him. [V]0 -
I never noticed much recoil out of my Johnson but then I had my mind on other things at the time. I do know that I had a lot of shots that were early and not very accurate. Don 0 -
