30 foot pole, lit at night, 4X6, only comes down when I put up the Significant Day Flag (6x10) for Memorial day, 4th July, etc. - visible anywhere in the valley, and Pilots use it to turn Base and Final at our local Airport (TNW).

HOBBYGUY - You are right! In our little 'hood, after I put mine up, seven others (out of 13 total) put one up, too.

It's not out yet, but part of the reconstruction plan on my sidewalks and patio is to add a sidewalk, a small pad, and a 30' pole (maybe a little bigger) in the middle of my circle drive.

Always have the flag flying. My sister-in-law wanted to know if it
was a requirement for retired military to fly the flag because every-
one she knows, always has a flag flying.

...I break a few rules of flag etiquette, as it's atop an antenna tower and can't lower it without climbing the tower, and I don't have it lit, but it flies 365. The scull and crossbones have no meaning. Just projecting an attitude....[}:)]

I have a flag on my front doorway (2'x3'). Who else proudly displays a flag on their property?

My flag is displayed 24/7/365 in the front of my house in the yard on a lighted flag pole. In honor of my father-in-law ( WW2 ), my father ( Korean War ), and my brother-in-law. That made the ultimate sacrifice for our country in Desert Storm. quote:

I paid $20 for mine from a traveling tool sale and it even came with a flag.

I then spent another $3 for a bag of cement to mount it in the ground.

I kinda cheat on my lighting as I have 2 street lights that are lighting it instead of floods in the ground, but it is well lit up at night.
