Stolen guns...PLEASE READ!
Lucas County Sheriff's detectives continue to search for the person or people who took a safe containing about 20 weapons this week from a Spencer Township home.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the home at about 12:20 p.m. Thursday on a report of a residential burglary.
The home owners reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and noon that day, someone had broken into their home through a rear window and took the gun safe containing shotguns, assault rifles, and other weapons valued at about $20,000.
Ammunition and cash also were inside the safe, Sheriff's Detective Mark Woodruff said.
The suspects took a door off its hinges, pulled a vehicle up to the entrance, and put the safe inside, the detective said.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Toledo Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111.
I know there was a forum posted about this a couple of days ago but I can't locate it right now so I am starting a new one.
I am the daughter of this family and my father asked me to post a list of the guns that were in the safe in case anyone out there might come across them. This happened in Toledo Ohio but they could be anywhere by now as this happened one week ago today.

I feel your pain, best of luck. Will keep a look-out here in area. 0 -
Is the Thompson Center the assault rifle? 0 -
No the article was not accurate in that aspect...there were no assult riffles in the safe. My family was never interviewed for the news articles so I am not sure where that came from. 0 -
Sorry for your parents loss I hope the contents were insured.
I had the same thing happen to a friend of mine in the LA area. They tipped the safe over and dragged it with a floor rug out onto the front porch, backed a truck up to the porch and off they went. Never even found the safe or any of the guns.
The owner then bought another safe and bolted this one with all thread through the floor of his log home and bent the bolts under the house so nobody could ever get them unscrewed unless they cut them off with a torch.0 -

Sometimes I think the media will add there 2cents to make the story more interesting. I sounds more dangerous to say a safe with some assault rifles was stolen, Vs a safe with hunting guns were stolen.
Was anything else stolen? I think there is a good chance who ever stole your stuff is someone who know. They had to be comfortable enough to be in the house long enough to carry out a safe. The must have known the house owners schedule.

First off I'm very sorry about what happened.
Are they Boris Scopes or Burris Scopes?
Also it sounds like the Double shot gun has a Dramascus barrel.
Best of luck finding the perps. I've have a considerable amout of electronics stolen from me before. Turns out it was a "Friend" of mine and the richest kid in high school who did it. Just trying to fit in with the scum of the school I guess. He got a big restitution settlement, he owed about 100 grand in all, and a broken nose/eye socket from me.
Welcome and enjoy your stay,

If buris is correct I am sure that is it...my dad gave me this list and I don't really know enough about guns to know if they are spelled correctly!! I had to interpret his handwriting to type it up and he was pretty upset when he wrote it.
Thanks!0 -

I figured the Ruger 10-22 was it.0 -
I'm sorry for your loss. Just went through the same thing a while back. The thief was a kid I knew from church and his friends. It might be worth your time to check in with friends and neighbors for unscheduled visits just to test their reactions. 0 -

Yep! If'n the fools that took that particular weapon doesn't know any different, they should be showing up at the hospital in no time! At least one anyway.
I am on disability but i could afford pay $200.00 just to watch the outcome of that one[}:)][xx(][:D]0 -

Without serial numbers, it gets more difficult. Several enthusiasts I know carry a list of their safe's contents in their wallets, printed in a tiny font [but still, big enough to read, and presumably, copy for police].
Feel free to post even more detailed information. This stuff has gotta turn up somewhere.
Even if it is given away, one buyer might need a little cash, and try to sell it at a gun or pawn shop.
Thieves are stupid that way.
Sorry for the loss, and more so, the distress. Invasive crimes can be worse than having a car stolen.
Regrettably, it is often the guy down the block.0 -
We have a rottweiler...unfortunately they beat him...he is still sore a week later [V] The serial numbers we have are listed on that list but lucky for us most of them were in the safe too...we are working on getting the rest of them. 0
