For crying out loud guys this is a sport. Folks don't like Jeff for the same reason that I hate the Yankees & Notre Dame. They both won everything when I got interested in sports in the early 50's.
Cry baby isn't too much different than a logical complaint about the race situation.
As for being gay ... look guys there is a logic term used when you can't attack the situation so you attack the the person. Check out logic 101.
I'm met Jeff. He is a great guy. My son graduated in the same high school class as he did. No, not Pittsborro, IN as the town doesn't have a high school. But in scenic Lizton.
If he wins a race he wins. No fix involved. That could ruin NASCAR and that would be multi-millions. No driver is worth that threat.0 -
Oh heck CBXJEFF, it's just jealousy on their part. Bet they all pull for a guy who drives a red car and who hasn't won a race in 2 years and has NEVER won a championship. They just can't recognize REAL talent when they see it drive by in the 24 car. [:D]
And I agree, Jeff is a nice guy. When my son was seriously ill several years ago, Jeff took time (or someone in Jeff's organization in his name, doesn't matter) sent him a lot of neat stuff and a couple of letters that really lifted his spirits.
As far as being gay...I just wish I was as gay as Jeff Gordon! Have you seen pics of his ex and current wife. WOW! [:p]0 -
Jeff is an outstanding guy, in addition to being the best driver on the track. [;)]
A friend of mine had a daughter pass away at 20 years of age. One of her wishes was to meet Jeff in person. She was diagnosed with cancer and was in the hospital for a few months. Her parents wrote to Jeff and told him about her and her wish to meet him. He took a flight to the hospital and sat with her for several hours. She died about a week later.

Kyle finishing third was really good to see! I was a King Richard fan for years. Saw him a bunch of times at the old short track at the fairgrounds in Nashville. Very classy driver. Always seemed to run the high line, stayed out of the way in the beginning and middle portions of the race, and at the end, instead of having a beat up car that had trouble hanging on, he just motored away to win. I think once Kyle gets out of the car for good and devotes all of his attention to Petty Enterprises, they will make a come back to the top echelon of NASCAR. Hiring Labonte was a huge step in the right direction. 0 -
