On to another decade
The days are gone of me being a twenty something year old. Turning the big 30 today. Hopefully the next thirty will be as good as the last.

Don't worry - they won't be. [V]
On the bright side - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! [:D]0 -
I did not think of it before it happened & it really hit me when I hit thirty. I'm now near seventy & none of the others had that same effect. (I think seventy may.)
When we talk of changing decades I am still wondering what to call this one. We have the teens, twenties, thirties etc. but what do we call this decade? The zeros, oughts, naughts?0 -
This decade and the next are when you swing the biggest hammer - anything you want to do, GET AFTER IT!!! In your fifties, you begin to realize that you are actually mortal, and that you must slow down a little. In your sixties, My Dad tells me, you will be introduced/find out just what is gonna eventually kill ya. Seventies and beyond depend a lot on your genetics, and a lot of luck! As far back as we can research, my father, now 77, has lived the longest of any male in his line. He is "circling the Drain" with a fairly close orbit right now, fighting about three or four kinds of cancer, and diabetes. 0 -

Happy Birthday bamafan! Start your birthday off right by watching a couple of good football games today! Who's the Tide playing today? 0 -
Happy birthday young man. In my opinion the thirties are the one period in your life of endless opportunity and a time when you are still young enough to make a few mistakes and not have them impact your life too much. Sunday morning I'll turn 52 and I can only dream of turning the clock back 20+ years! 0 -

They played Mississippi State today. Lost 17-12. [V] Couldn't get nothing going seemed like. Watching the Auburn/Georgia game right now. Good game so far.0 -
I get a kick out any "twenty-somethings" who thinks their life is over when you turn 30.
30 rocks. You finally know what you want.
40 is even better. You know how to appreciate it.0 -
Happy birthday kid. 0 -
Happy Birthday.
Stay fit.
Time and beltlines can get away from you if you're not careful.

I cant believe the negativity I am reading...My god, its only a flippin number but almost every post is about death, checking out, the final years etc...
If more ppl would stop thinking of a birthday as one step closer to "the final one", then a person might start forgetting about the "poor me" and think of others for a change...
bamafan...Happy birthday...dont let the number get you,....its just a number...
In other words, get off your lazy ass, get out and enjoy life,....and it doesnt change no matter how old or how young you are...Life is what you make it...If you want to sit around and complain that "turning 30 hit so hard", or 40 or whatever, then do so, but you can bet no one else is going to be sitting around complaining with you...MOst are out enjoying life...0 -
