Here's Deanna in her prom dress on Friday. No boy asked her to the dance, so she went anyway. One commented that he wouldn't go out with any girl that could whip his butt. Don't think there is a kid at our little high school that could - total enrollment is less than 200 combined in all four years.
Kinda glad that she may wait for college before boy involvement. I'm probably wishful thinking.
Is she really pretty, or is it just an indulgent father ??

She is very nice looking Doug and you should be proud that she went to the dance, even without a date. My two girls are as different as night and day, they don't look anything alike, their builds are TOTALLY different and their personalities are polar opposite- You would never even guess that they were sisters. My youngest is very shy, to the point of being down right bothersome, and Olivia never went out on a single date the entire time she was in jr. high or high school and dressed more like a little girl rather than an attractive young woman and would have never dreamed of dressing up for a dance...Or even going to one. In fact it was not until she started college last year that she finally went to a party and had her first real date, with a very nice young man who is also studying to be a veteranarian. My oldest daughter is extremely attractive and is fully aware of the fact and not shy about it at all! She was a prom princess, home coming princess, social butterfly, wears only the most fashionable clothes and imported swim suits ($$$[V]) and treated her perspective dates (which were numerous) as though she were Scarlet O'Hara! Every person is different and if your daughter wants to postpone the "boy crazy" period then don't worry about it...Just enjoy it for as long as it lasts! 0 -
