I think.............
emphasis on "think", I want a T/C Encore. The whole "hunting pistol" thing is relatively new to me. 7mm-08 and .223 will be the first 2 barrels I get. Stainless action and rubber grip/forearm.
Anybody have any comments, suggestions, etc? Feel free to chime in!
No need for any rimfire calibers (for me) so the Contender is not necessary. What am I missing/forgetting?
AND.........does anybody have experience with the .30 herret? I guess I'll have to get up to speed on that chambering.

I replied to your topic on the other board. Yes, I have some experience with the 30 Herrett. Not as much as with many other calibers. Encores are very good. I prefer contenders because of the slimmer profile. The other thing to be concerned with is the scope or scopes. Eye relief on handgun scopes is critical. Find a friend that has one (or better different ones) and try them. In addition, but quality optics. They take a hammering on a handgun. 0
