I Heard The Killing Shots This AM.......Update..
About 3:55 AM this Sat. 8-11-07 I heard 5 rapid sounds that sounded kinda like someone hitting metal with a ballpeen hammer. I'm a gun guy and I am embarressed to admit that I didn't recognize the sounds as that of an AK-47 type rifle being rapid fired on the street right outside my building. Course it was outside and I was inside, but I am still suprised I didn't recognize the sounds as that of gunfire.
Seems a white Monte Carlo was chasing a blue car in downtown Kansas City KS. (very close to the KS & MO state line & I-70). Monte Carlo was firing the AK type at the fleeing blue car. Blue car continued to flee and actually drove right into a city park, and hit a tree and stalled. Monte Carlo occupants finished the driver of the blue car off at this point. Police say it was an execution type killing.
Man, it is hard to believe that the gang bangers have gotten so agressive and bold and don't seem to care where they are or who might be around when they shoot and kill somebody. I mean this is old downtown K.C.K., it is not some outback woods where there is darkness and a very small chance of being seen. I admit not many people around that time of the morning, but there are some people and lots and lots of light. These gangsters don't care if they are seen or not. The had to drive right by an all night gas station knowing that anyone there would obviously seem them. They just don't seem to care.
The anti-gun people will say that crimes like this are reasons why guns should be banned. I say that because of the violent, agressive and murderous gangsters is the reason that the lawful, peaceful citizens should NEVER have their guns banned.

Last night at the all night station a small crowd of gangbangers loitered at the station much of the night. One of their cars was basically parked at the station all night but several other cars took turns also parking there, leaving, and coming back. Several of the group also walked in teams up and down the street on the sidewalk for about two blocks each way from the station. All the young men doing this were wearing the pants hanging below their a$$ as well as all wearing their red gang colors. The poor station clerk must have been scared but he continued emptying trash and seemed to be running the station business as usual. Strangely not one police car ever came by. OBTW the shooting that I described above took place one block from the police station and fire station. Man, I'm sorry but I never ever want to live in KCK.
Oh yeah, I am assuming that their action was a gang way of trying to provoke the gang that apparently shoot their buddy into showing up and then the shooting would have started. I bet there were numerous guns in the cars and on the persons of the gang members. I'm really surprised the police didn't find a reason to do some field interviews.

Its part of living in the city but I definately agree with the last part of your post.Gangsters do not follow the law so they dont use guns they have registered and channeled the proper way like a legal licensed citizen does.Alot of people dont see that though the guns in the criminals hands are guns most likely stolen and shouldnt be there but they are.So if they took all the law abiding citizens guns the criminals would still have theirs. 0 -

Personally I think the 2nd Amendment needs to be restricted to people like us - those who have more than two brain cells to rub together and a sense of personal responsibility.
These gangbanger @$$holes are going to kill each other anyway - they might as well do it like they do back in Africa and use spears, machetes, and pieces of sharpened rebar. The single worst idea anyone came up with was letting all the colonials have access to guns - it gave hem the misguided notion that they were somehow equal to the civilized nations of the world and we see how well they used the responsibility of firearms...0 -

EMM, I was in Africa (Ethiopia) around 60-63 when there was trouble in the Congo. Seems like the natives liked to rape nuns, cut pregnant women open and play ball with babies, pour gas down people's throats, cut them open and set on fire, and cut open bellies and drag behind cars by guts.
The old sayings still ring true: You may take the african out of africa but you can't take the african out of africa. Where it is today, that they like to cut off arms and legs to let people who are boss.

how wonderful the natives were treated - beginning with the fabulous
slave trade where tribe was turned against tribe tribe for trade goods
... for nothing more than millions of African slaves.

The slave trade was not the European Peoples Idea.
The slave trade had been going on for years among the African Tribes and they are the ones who introduced the Slave Trade to Europeans.

I don't consider us colonials because we fought for and won our freedom in a manner that did not rely upon terrorism or attrition. We won fair and square (even if France helped us a lot).
But these other people that were given their freedom have no idea what to do with it. Mauritania, for example, just now outlawed slavery. How's that for enlightened, right?
That we gave these numbskulls guns and other arms during World War II is the reason why we're in such trouble now. Whether it's some African screwhead with a hard on for amputations or some Vietnamese retard, giving colonial subjects access to firearms was the single dumbest decision arrived upon by any power during World War II, eclipsing even Hitler's decision to fight a two front war. In my opinion, only certain cultures and nations are capable of the responsibility of bearing arms and most of the open sewers south of or along the equator just don't cut it.0 -

I declined an invitatation to the big residency meet last week.

But the original subject matter of the post was about gang bangers and a heinous crime they perpetrated in America, on fellow American citizens. The tenor and tone of your response could lead one (especially if they didn't "know" you like we do) to believe that because the criminals were most likely black that their criminal behavior was a result of their "heritage" and lack of innate capabilities and faculties rather than their personal choices.0 -
