I got sent a email with the exact same pictures talking about it being from lake Conroe just a little north of Houston. My brother in law said people been passing it around for awhile now altering it to their state.

    Huge gater though. [;)]

I guess if you're responsible for public safety in this country, you have to take a beast like that out of the picture. Still, I think it's a shame. How old must that gator have been? Probably older than any human it might have eaten would ever have lived to be. Call me crass, but if it was up to me I'd let that beast live in my neighborhood. And if I had children, I'd watch the children before killing the beast.

    Anyway, nice pictures.

    As per Snopes:

The pictures are real, but were taken near the Georgia / South Carolina state line!

I distinctly recall receiving 2 of the 3 pics over a yr ago, so I guess the location of the incident may be suspect, nonetheless, that IS one huge 'gator! Shame they killed it[:(]

    hey guys check this out:

this aligator was found betwee lake istapoka and pinedale estates...near a house. game wardens were forced to shoot the gator (guess he didn't cooperate).
jayne and don hobkirk could hear the belloing in the night. their neighbors had been telling them that they had seen a mammoth gator in the lake that runs behind their house but they had dismissed the stories as exaggerations.

"i didn't believe it," don said friday. they realized the stories were, if anything, understated.

florida game and park wardens had to shoot the beast,

joe goff. 6'5" tall, game warden, walks past the 23' 1" gator.

and yes, that is a deer in its mouth.

    Thanks for the pics!

That was one huge 'gator! Shame that they had to kil it, though. Could have let it live. It wasn't bothering anyone. Pics have been out awhile, though. Remember seeing them about a year ago.
