I have Hughes.net. My eMail is usually very slow, but from time to time, just for a break from the frustration, it doesn't work at all. It's back to working slow now.

The satellite goes out a lot too. They always deny any problem on the first call.

Well there goes that plan! I was planing on switching to Hughesnet soon. I have Gotsky and I've had email problems since starting their service. Some folks just cannot email me. I had heard that Hugesnet was faster and better service...Now what???[B)][^]

Use hotmail. Then I can add you to my buddy list and we can IM each other.

Use GMAIL - anyone can send me an email and I will send them an invite. It is a great email program with chat and voice chat and 3GB of storage. Most importantly, it does NOT shackle you to your ISP. You are foolish (and a sucker) to use your ISPs email as your primary email. Use it for your junk email and use another for day to day that isn't tied to your ISP.

Mine is $59.99 per month, but you have to buy equipment and pay for installation up front.

I have Wildblue and it is pretty fast. It cost $49.95 a month. They have free instalation and $249.00 for the equipment for June. If you are a dishnetwork customer you can get it through them for $199 installation.

I have had pretty good luck with hughesnet until now. Usually works great if there are no storms in the area.

I have Wildblue through Dish Network.

So far I am quite happy with it. ALOT faster than dial-up. Got installation for free and paid $199 for equipment. Also getting $100 back for having TV through them as well.

Have lost signal once in the month during a very hard rain.

I have service through Bellsouth. Haven't had a problem with them at all. Would recommend them to any one can get it.
