Favorite hunting shot size?
When you go out with the usual bunch hunting small game from squirrel, rabbits to grouse and other small game what size shot do you use? I prefer no.6 1/2 but would 7- 7 1/2 be better? You are getting more shot.

#5 is the best I've found. Although I do use #4 in the 410 contender. These are for game birds. For rabbits I use a .22 or 41mag. 0 -

6 is a good all around shot size. I like number 4 for squirrels, 6 for rabbits and something smaller for birds, but 6 will do fine for all. 0 -

I use #6's for everything from squirrels to turkey. Have made clean 65 yard kills on turkeys using Winchester Supreme high velocity 3", with 1 3/4 oz. 0
