Love at first sight !
Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went to a buddie's house and he showed me some rifles he was selling for a recently departed owner. One was a 1874 Sharps Pedersoli Quigley made for Cabelas. Now I've never had much interest in 19th century rifles, but this one was just gorgeous. Had a micrometer sight on the tang, wonderful figure in the wood, all around a very pretty rifle. I believe it was chambered for 45/70. At $1100.00 a bit more than an impulse buy for me, but I think I'll let go a rifle or two to come up with the bucks.
