It is going to be an all deer meat type of day!

I am starting with deer sausage and eggs for breakfast, makeing deer jerky, and finishing the day with a deer hind quarter roast for dinner![:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:p]

    Eat your hearts out![;)][}:)][:D][:o)]

Did you say you're eating the heart too? Some people do....not me. [:0][:0]

I don't. But I did have a freind request that on the rest of the deer that I get this year to have the hearts saved for him as he likes them.

The only thing that I like the hearts from is chicken.

Heart is good. Don't forget the liver though! Deer liver is very mild in flavor and is great fried and smothered in onions! The tongue isn't bad, but I give the tongue away to a neighbor. Just like beef tongue, only lots smaller.

My god, what happened to eating normal meat? The thought of eating an organ just gags me.[xx(]

I can't wait for firearms season. I still have a good month before it makes it though! [:(]

Guess I'm weird, but I have always liked liver. I figure if I go so far as to kill a deer, least I can do is make use of all of it.

    HEY GRD:

Bottle me some of the cooking odor smells and mail 'em to me here...

Could wiff on it before I go to eat ARMY chow at the DFAC...

Would improve the taste of everything served here..

    GRD,

Sounds like you are gonna have the southern version of surf and turf. Us Yankee's up here in upstate NY, have fresh marinated back straps, and Walleyes done on a charcoal or hard wood fire, anlong with cajun baked potato's, and a good bowl of salad greens.
